Hello Talkers! 👋🗣😃

A week and a half ago we adopted a stray kitten (there’s a longer story there but I’m determined to focus on the point… for once!). Since then I’ve had the joy to watch our cat, Igor (who’s almost 3), navigate the ups and downs of having a new friend to play with (his name is Gizmo) while also trying to figure out his own space since everything has been turned upside down. They’re currently playing ‘chasings’ as I write this, and watching Igor’s pure joy as he gallops around the house is very, very heartwarming… but, at the same time, I know he’s still trying to adjust to his new circumstances and that means that every now and then he gets a bit cranky with Gizmo, so I’m just trying to let them figure it out without intervening unless I absolutely have to (Igor’s very gentle so it’s been fine so far).

Why am I telling you all of this? Because we all go through periods of life where things are thrown into chaos or where we have unexpected changes, and I feel like the best way to handle it is to be patient and give ourselves time and space to figure things out instead of trying to rush the process. And bonus points if you can play with it and have a bit of fun while you’re sorting out what this new reality looks and feels like!

So without any further ado… greetings and salutations, and a very warm welcome to another newsletter. I hope you enjoy my quick snapshot of my favourite things this week — hopefully at least one of them will make you smile/feel inspired. Have a fantastic week!

Jeremy 🙂

This post has great advice under any circumstances, but because it comes from Dolly Parton (who is sunshine, rainbows and unicorns personified) it makes it even greater!
