Hello Talkers! 👋🗣😃

Did I speak too soon last week about the arrival of Spring? I think I might have, because today it’s just 11 degrees Celsius (just under 52F) and tonight it’s dropping down to 2C (35.6F). I have just one word to say: WHY?!!

It’s funny how the weather is this thing that impacts on virtually every aspect of our lives and yet we still have absolutely zero control over it (thankfully supervillains are yet to learn how to create their weather machines). Perhaps it’s because I’m currently working on an episode about loss of control (which will be released on December 4) that this sort of stuff is front-of-mind for me, or maybe it’s because the gentle little creek behind my house is currently a raging river for the third time in a month… so much so that we’ve have had to keep a close eye on it to be ready in case we needed to move our chickens to higher ground (it looks like it’s receding slowly now, thankfully).

Now that I’ve finished banging on about the weather (😂) I am beyond delighted to announce that my new book, Life Advice That Doesn’t Suck!, is being released worldwide on Monday November 20! Based on my daily posts over on my @jeremygodwinofficial account on Instagram, this new book is full of 365 simple ways to live a more satisfying life. It makes the perfect gift for a loved one and for yourself (of course!), and you’ll be able to buy it in print from Amazon or in eBook from Amazon and Apple Books. I’ll be sending out a special announcement to all of you on my mailing list when it’s available to purchase and I would be eternally grateful if you could support me and my work by buying a copy; as an independent creator I rely on your generosity to keep doing what I do, and this is one of the best ways to support me!

So without any further ado… greetings and salutations, and a very warm welcome to another newsletter. I hope you enjoy my quick snapshot of my favourite things this week — hopefully at least one of them will make you smile/feel inspired. Have a fantastic week!

Jeremy 🙂

💯 My absolute favourite things this week:

Love this piece about setting boundaries in terms of who has access to you and when; I’d also add to this to turn off notifications and instead have set times of the day where you go in and manually deal with messages, because that stops you from having the knee-jerk reaction of “I must handle this immediately!” when you see a notification.

💬 My favourite quote this week:

“A life spent making mistakes is not only more honourable but more useful than a life spent doing nothing.”
