Hello Talkers! 👋🗣😃

Hello from a very cold and chilly few days here in my little corner of Australia… just to remind you, it’s supposed to be the middle of Spring here and I’m currently wearing three layers when I write this on Wednesday morning!

This week I’m completely back into the swing of writing plus I’m putting the finishing touches on a new book (see below) and it’s reminded me of the value of thinking/planning ahead while also consciously being present. I’m doing this by making a master list of everything that needs to be done for my work between now and the end of the year (which really isn’t that far away!) and then working backwards to create a weekly set of tasks that then break down into the daily things I need to do in order to stay on track. I find it’s much easier to remain present and focused by doing this, mainly because I know everything is out of my head and all I have to do is work on the small day-by-day steps that are leading me to achieving what needs to be done. If you have a lot of work going on I highly recommend you try it, not least so that you can find some peace of mind!

So without any further ado… greetings and salutations, and a very warm welcome to another newsletter. I hope you enjoy my quick snapshot of my favourite things this week — hopefully at least one of them will make you smile/feel inspired. Have a fantastic week!

Jeremy 🙂

  1. I really enjoyed this weeks newsletter, i like the mood board. Im very self aware, and i know when my mood is dipping and there’s certain things i do to release the mood. However, trying to not dwell on the thing that has changed my mood, well that’s something im working on. Have a good week. 🙂

    1. Glad you liked it! I’m always happy when I hear that one of the posts that resonated with me also resonates with someone reading this newsletter, so thanks for making me smile and keep on working on the ‘not dwelling’ thing! (FYI I’m sure you’ve already seen it but I covered ruminating in Episode 116 so you may find that helpful to tackle dwelling in issues if you haven’t already listened to or read it) 😁

  2. You are helping me so much with your words and perspectives of things in life.
I am grateful for the effort you make to produce this content
I live in cairns and I a originally from Brazil.
I also love the English Language (and its weirdly pronounced words)

I just want to say thank you and express my gratitude.

I have been married to a person with very little emotional intelligence and also little life experience.
    Left me so frustrated.
Now he is in love with someone else and takes zero accountability for his share in the marriage .
Anyway, I am growing and learning.
Can’t fix him and I accepted it.
    He needs to fix himself.

Always learning is one of our capabilities right?!

    Have a good weekend

    1. Hello Debora and hello fellow lover of weird English words!!! 😃 So glad to hear you’ve been enjoying my work and finding it helpful, thank you so much for sharing and yes you’re absolutely right: all we can do is focus on ourselves, we can’t fix others! It’s a shame we can’t, but it is what it is. I wish you all the very best as you work through everything and I know you’ll come out even stronger on the other side of it. Take care and remember: one day at a time. Jeremy 🙂 (PS: I love Cairns!)
