Hello Talkers! 👋🗣😃
Welcome to another week of me wondering ‘how on Earth is it already Thursday?!’!
This week my mind is on emotional self-care. I do a lot of emotionally-intensive work, both in terms of my podcast writing as well as my work as a coach and counsellor, and that means I have to be diligent about protecting myself from giving too much in order to not drain my reserves entirely (which is something I did a lot last year and so that’s why I’m focused on managing it better this year). I’ll be discussing this more in an episode which is coming out in a few weeks, but it’s on my mind at the moment because I’ve had to say ‘no’ to a few requests these last couple of weeks because it was clear to me that the emotional weight of them would be more than what I am prepared to give. Saying no can be really challenging (which I discussed back in Episode 105) but sometimes it’s necessary in order to look after your emotional wellbeing.
So, how do you look after your emotional wellbeing? Let me know in the comments!
In other news… I am delighted to give you an early look at something I’m going to be sharing publicly on Monday, which is my new branding for the Let’s Talk About Mental Health podcast! I shared this yesterday with my supporters on Patreon and, to cut a long story short, I’m rebranding after working with a very talented and hard-working graphic designer from the UK named William Bonniger (www.williambonniger.co.uk) so that my podcast can stand out more, make it clearer for new listeners what the show is about, and so it can look more professional (my old logo looked home-made because, well, it was home-made… thanks Canva!). Starting Monday February 20 you’ll see this branding across all of my platforms/content:

What do you think? Leave me a comment and let me know at the end of this page!
So without any further ado… greetings and salutations, and a very warm welcome to another newsletter. I hope you enjoy my quick snapshot of my favourite things this week — hopefully at least one of them will make you smile/feel inspired. Have a fantastic week!
Jeremy 🙂
