Hello Talkers! 👋🗣😃

Welcome to another week! We’ve just come out of the heatwave I mentioned last week; it went for nearly two weeks and every day we had temperatures around 35C (95F) which, to be fair, is actually fairly standard for Australian summer but honestly… the horror! We have air conditioning but even still I haven’t been able to sleep properly (why does it take until 3am for the room to cool down?!), so I have been a cranky zombie for a fortnight now. Here’s to better sleep in the nights ahead!

The main thing I’ve been thinking about this week is, oddly enough, thinking… and, more to the point, allowing yourself to take your time when you’re considering big-picture decisions. I’m not a fan of over-analysing things, but I feel like there’s also a lot to be said by allowing yourself to just gently sit with things and mull them over before you rush into action mode. That’s what I’ve been doing this week with a few things as I’ve been thinking about what I want to continue in 2023 versus what I don’t (don’t worry, I’m not talking about the podcast – Let’s Talk About Mental Health isn’t going anywhere!). The next time you feel like you have to make a decision quickly, challenge yourself to take your time so that you can listen to your intuition and process how you really feel about things.

So without any further ado… greetings and salutations, and a very warm welcome to another newsletter. I hope you enjoy my quick snapshot of my favourite things this week — hopefully at least one of them will make you smile/feel inspired. Have a fantastic week!

Jeremy 🙂
