Hello Talkers! 👋🗣😃

This is me realising that this is my final newsletter for 2022 and that tomorrow is my last work day for three weeks:

Don’t get me wrong, I am absolutely honoured and grateful to get to do what I do each week however I am tired and in need of a proper break… so it’s a good thing I’m taking one! Although you’ll still see stuff scheduled on social media, and a new episode coming out on Sunday (about Resolutions), I’m taking three entire weeks off with no clients, no podcast, no social media and no work… and I could not be happier! I have a massive stack of books ready to read (and I mean massive; it’s about 1m/3 feet high!) and a comfy sun-lounger in my backyard with my name on it. Fingers crossed for nice not-too-hot summer weather!

How do you know when it’s time for you to take a break? My tell-tale sign is when I find the exhaustion creeping up on me, both physically and mentally, and I find myself not having the energy on the weekend to do the things I want to do (including DIY, which is unfortunate since I live in a fixer-upper where there has been very little fixing-upping going on for a few months now!). So my plan is to allow myself at least the first week of my break to do absolutely nothing before even thinking about DIY; it’s going to be like an entire week of relaxation and luxury, like a stay at The White Lotus but definitely without all the mystery, intrigue and murder!

So without any further ado… greetings and salutations, and a very warm welcome to my final newsletter for 2022. After this week’s episode, the podcast will be back on January 8 and then my newsletter will be back on January 12. Wishing you happy holidays if you celebrate and I hope you have a satisfying and prosperous new year in 2023.

Jeremy 🙂

  1. Hey Jeremy,

Enjoy your break, especially the ‘nothing’ week. Love your sense of humor, song quotes and Netflix series comparisons, very relatable lol.

I listen to at least one of your podcasts, each day, and they are amazing; I’ve said it, before but I just wanted to say thank you again.

Also, was wondering if you have any spots for your personal life coaching sessions, in 2023, through zoom? I have a therapist whom I speak to regularly; I have a history of negative self talk( listened to your podcast re this and it’s helped my awareness heaps)and self sabotage, which I’ve only become aware of since I had a breakdown last year; stemming from child hood trauma and lots of baggage etc. And many job triggers. I’m starting a new uni course next year and want to keep going with it, positively.

Thanks again, and enjoy Xmas and New year’s,

    Leah.

    1. Hi Leah! Thanks for the lovely message and I’m so glad to hear you continue to find my random musings helpful 🤣 I will have a couple of coaching slots opening up in early 2023 and you are more than welcome to send me an email at info@jeremygodwin.com.au and let me know a bit more about what you’re hoping to achieve, along with which city and country you’re in (so I can figure out time zones), and we can discuss when I return from leave week commencing Jan 9. Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to you too!
