What are you most grateful for? (Thursday Thoughts: 20 June, 2024)

Do you stop often enough to reflect on what you’re most thankful for? In this issue of Thursday Thoughts, I’m sharing why that’s important and how to feel more satisfied in your life. Ready to find more peace of mind? Then let’s talk!

Hello Talkers! 👋🗣😃

How often do you take just a couple of minutes and reflect on everything you feel grateful for? Because if it’s not daily then you just might be missing out on the simplest way to feel significantly more satisfied!

Gratitude is one of those things that you’ll hear and see bandied about as a simple-yet-effective tool for better mental health, and with good reason; the US-based UCLA Health states, “people with a grateful mindset report higher satisfaction with life, strong social relationships and more self-esteem than those who don’t practice gratitude” and the Mayo Clinic (also US-based) notes, “Studies have shown that feeling thankful can improve sleep, mood and immunity. Gratitude can decrease depression, anxiety, difficulties with chronic pain and risk of disease.”

So here’s my tip of the week: each day, set aside a few minutes to reflect on what you feel grateful for and make a list. You might like to incorporate this into some simple daily practices to look after your mental wellbeing; I have an easy-to-use digital tool available in my store which will help you work on your gratitude and reflection practices (amongst other things) and it will improve your mental health in just 10-15 minutes a day; you can buy it here, along with my video Masterclass to help you make the most of your daily practices.

And remember: making time for your mental health isn’t a luxury; it’s a necessity. So make it your top priority!

Until our next talk,

Jeremy 😃
